Research interests

Professor Ray Fitzpatrick's research focuses on the evaluation of treatments and services, for example, he collaborates with colleagues in Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in a number of trials of alternative forms of surgery and is currently completing a study of health service experiences and outcomes of individuals with long term neurological conditions.  A particular interest is the involvement of patients in evaluation through patient reported outcome measures, on which subject he and his group advise the Department of Health, London.
